Our August event is dinner at The Langton Arms, Tarrant Monkton, arranged by David. This is a very popular venue with a reputation for good food. The menu offers mostly local fare, grown or raised at Tarrant Rawston Farm which has been in the Cossins family for generations. James may possibly tell us briefly about farming today. Barbara has very ably managed The Langton Arms for over 25 years and has won numerous awards for the excellence of this gastro-pub.
David has sourced the wines and has chosen the Iberian Peninsula as his theme. He says “Don Juan has come to Dorset!”. But not a Rioja, red or white, in sight. These are seriously good wines which some may not have come across. We start with a Cava from the famous bodega of Muga, followed by an exotic white and an excellent Douro red.
