XIIIth Anniversary Brunch

 


 

As has been customary, our anniversary event was a brunch event. The venue chosen was Romano at the JW Marriott, Sahar Bombay on the 21st of July 2019.

 

The Romano team together with Chef Roberto proposed a multi-stage brunch experience; with pass around starters to begin; a Cicchetti Bar (serving a selection of premium Italian cold cuts and Italian cheeses; Live Stations serving Burrata portions and Pizza’s coming fresh out of the oven throughout the afternoon; and Mains served pre-plated at the table.

 

 

 

The casual brunch had salads, cheeses, cold cuts and white wines served buffet style. Red wines, pizzas and pastas were served on the table. Frizzante and Rose by Pasqua were the favourites. Guido Alberto was served en magnum. The La Cassucia in double magnum was served as an anniversary special surprise,  as was Le Macchiole Paleo 2006 the anniversary vintage of Bombay IWFS. The home style authentic Italian food by Chef Roberto was excellent.

 

 

 

 

 

The XIIIth Anniversary Brunch had excellent participation with the highest attendance so far, 53 people attended. It was also a rare event, as all 5 Presidents of the IWFS Bombay Chapter were in attendance. It was also an AGM and Mr. Sameer Hiremath presented the accounts.
