Well we had a Pig Pickin where everyone’s shoes got wet, but we were able to finish the whole meal which was very enjoyable with very good tastings of Westcave Cellars wine. Betty Trent and Jeff Barger planned a great menu and fun event. The North Carolina Pork, the cornbread and Pig Pickin cake were stand outs. It was quite a drive with bad weather coming but everyone showed up. Touring the winery was an added highlight.

Paired with Ruby Rose’ 2016 or Sangiovese 2014 (Undecided which yet, as they need to taste-test the new rose’.)

North Carolina pork, slaw, balsamic-glazed green beans and mushrooms, loaded baked potato casserole, cornbread
