This event is our 6th visit to GianMarco's Restaurant. This neighborhood restaurant has wowed locals since its inception, and is packed every lunch and dinner. Chef Giani Respinto's menus adapt Old World recipes and flavors, heavily influenced in the Italian tradition, while changing seasonally to utilize Alabama's wonderful produce. As always, the restaurant performed beautifully, and we all left full and happy.

Meal 1: PRELUDE: Cornmeal dusted flash-fried Apalachicola Oyster with Tomato Relish; Guanciale and Basil wrapped Grilled Gulf Shrimp with Roasted Red Pepper Aioli; Tuna Crudo, White Bean & Arugula Bruschetta.
Wine 1: Tiefenbrunner Pinot Grigio (Trintino) 2011; Allegrini Valpolicella Superior Veneto) 2011.
 
Meal 2: PRIMO PIATTO: Pan-Roasted Day-Boat Scallop, served with Truffled Green Beans, Curried Yukon Gold Potatoes & Carrot Ginger Broth.
Wine 2: Tramin Pinot Bianco (Trintino) 2010.
 
Meal 3: SECONDO PIATTO: Apple-Cider Brined Pancetta-Wrapped Duroc Pork Tenderloin, served over Butternut Squash Risotto with Granny Apple & Sage Compote.
Wine 3: Prunotto Barbaresco 2006.
 
Meal 4: PIATTO PRINCIPALE: Pistachio and Goat Cheese Crusted Lamb Rib Chop, served with Mushroom Fregola, Grilled Asparagus and Red Wine Reduction.
