COMMENTS
Twenty-three members and two guests attended this holiday event at the Omaha Country Club. The club, which is always beautiful was extremely festive, and the planners for the event added their special touch to the decor, in the private space we occupied. In addition we had live piano music which added to the ambience, and provided accompaniment for the Christmas Carols we would be singing between courses.
The Parisian theme was reflected through the the food and wine parings. All of the wines were rated, and paired very well with each of the courses. Although all of the courses were very good, the seared scallops got the most rave reviews!
Jeff Deeths, our president gave information of several of the wines, and talked about upcoming events. The food was not only delicious, but plentiful, and many went home with boxes of left overs. Between the food, wine, music, and socialization this was a very successful holiday event.
