Dear Friends of Good Wine and Food,
Our president, Bill Bivin, has requested that we plan a trip to one of Galveston’s finest restaurants. So please join us on Sunday, November 13, 2016 as we have selected to visit and dine at The Galveston Artillery Club (GAC) in Galveston. This club dates back to 1840 as a military unit which later became a social organization by 1899. We have enclosed an interesting detailed history provided by the Texas Historical Commission.
Chef Michael Petteway, who has been with the GAC for 45 years, and General Manager David Robertson have prepared an exciting menu which will be paired with fabulous wines. Dress will be coat and tie for gentlemen and Galveston Chic for the ladies.
We depart at 1:00 p.m. by Luxury Motor Coach from 6750 West Loop South, Frost Bank Building. Our bus will be on First Street where cars can access the garage and park on the roof. We are limited to 50 people on the bus. On board entertainment will be provided by our very own David Singleton which means an afternoon full of surprises. For those of you planning to drive, GAC is located at 3102 Avenue A, Galveston, 77550. Reception begins at 2:00 p.m.
The cost is $175.00 for members and $205.00 for guests.
We hope you will join us for a memorable event!
Cheers!
