Texas Wine Trip

Dear Friends,

Attached is a detailed itinerary of the Houston Branch of the International Wine and Food Society’s 2018 Texas Hill Country Trip departing Houston on the morning of June 1, 2018, and returning late afternoon on June 3, 2018.  Our home away from home for the trip will be the Inn on Barons Creek in Fredericksburg.

As you will see, we will visit three boutique Texas wineries selected by us on Saturday – William Chris, Ron Yates, and Pedernales Cellars.  There will be food and wine provided by Royers Round Top Café, Vivere Catering and Event Group, Vaudeville, Bryan’s on 290, August E’s, and the Inn at Dos Brisas.  We will let the itinerary and menus speak for themselves.  Do realize these are subject to change.  Allergies known of in advance can be accommodated.

This trip will cost $1,350.00 per person for double occupancy.  If you desire single occupancy, the supplement shall be $225.00.  We have told venues that we will have a firm count a month out.  If you are interested in attending this event, you will need to send in your deposit of $500.00 now to reserve your spot, and the payment of the remaining amount will be due by April 28, 2018. 

For the first thirty days after this invitation is emailed to our membership, only Members and their significant others will be allowed to reserve space.  If the trip is not full by the end of that thirty day period, it will be opened to guests of members, hopefully some of whom are prospective members.  This trip is limited to 30 people because this is generally the maximum size of the group that can be accommodated at the various venues.
