Fellow IWFS Members,
Our June event will be held on Monday, June 24, 2019 at the Spec’s Beverage & Food Appreciation Laboratory, part of the Hilton College on the University of Houston campus.
Dr. Chris Taylor, Director, Beverage Management Program & Fred Parks Wine Cellar at the Hilton College at University of Houston will host a blind tasting to compare and contrast wines from the same grapes but from different terroirs. He has selected and procured the wines and arranged to have some of the students who benefit from the IW&FS contributions assist him in hosting. Dr. Taylor will also update us on his progress with the learning program that IW&FS supports.
After the blind tasting, we will enjoy visiting while enjoying a selection of hors d’oeuvres and light food chosen to accompany a great selection of limited quantity wines from the IW&FS cellar.
We will begin the tasting at 6:30pm and the dress will be casual with medallions.
The event has been priced at only $80 for members and $110 for guests. This event will be limited to 50 people, so please get your reservations in early and join us for a fun and educational evening of wine tasting.
