Dear Friends of Good Wine and Food,
Please join us on Sunday, the 10th of November, when we celebrate our chapter’s visit to the historical Galveston Artillery Club (GAC). This fabulous afternoon takes place in what has been an exclusive retreat for civic and business leaders of Galveston for over a century. Enclosed is a detailed history of the GAC provided by the Texas Historical Commission.
Chef Michael Petteway, who has been with the GAC for 45 years, and General Manager Darryl Wittle have created an exciting menu which will be paired with outstanding wines.
We depart at 1:30 p.m. by Luxury Motor Coach from 6750 West Loop South, Frost Bank Building in Bellaire. Our coach will be located on First Street which is on the west side of the building where you can easily access the parking garage. We are limited to 50 people on the coach. Always a surprise, but pleasant entertainment will be provided on the motor coach by our very own David Singleton. For those of you planning to drive, GAC is located at 3102 Avenue O, Galveston, 77550. Reception begins at 3:00 p.m.
The cost is $180.00 for members and $210.00 for guests. The reasonable cost has been made possible due to the majority of wines being donated. The deadline for reservations is November 4th. Attire will be coat and tie for the gentlemen and Galveston Chic for the ladies.
