Tis the Season to be Jolly! Annual Holiday Wine Tasting

For 18 years, The Wine & Food Society of Jacksonville has held a Holiday Wine Tasting Event. Starting out as a very simple "Affordable Wines for the Holidays", it has grown into one of the biggest events of the year. This year Drs.Dwelvin Simmons and Alisia Martin invited us into their new home for another memorable and festive event. Eleven wines and one Spanish Brandy were placed at five stations around their beautifully decorated home. Accompanying the wines were culinary creations prepared by the Competition Team of Culinary Students from the Art Institute of Jacksonville under the guidance of Chef Instructor Noel Ridsdale. The money raised by the students went towards funding their involvement in competitions. A combo provided music for our entertainment throughout the evening.
