Saturday, October 15, 2021, was a beautiful fall day, the kind those of us in the Midwest live for: Clear skies, bright sunshine, crisp autumn air, with the leaves on the trees just starting to turn. What could be better? Having a day like that on Kansas City Branch’s annual trip to Conuco Farm, of course. Owned by longtime members, Drs. Ivan and Karla Batlle, the objective of Conuco Farm is the growth and development of organic fruits and vegetables. This year, the chartered bus left Kansas City mid-morning and arrived in at the farm located in Windsor, MO just in time for a spectacular alfresco brunch catered by Nick & Leslie Goellner from the Antler Room. It was a wonderful weekend adventure with great hosts and excellent friends.
