A short 7 ½ years ago, we enjoyed our first ITALIAN JOB. Joe Cerniglia even tried to entice Charlize Theron to join us. Unfortunately, he didn’t have Mark Wahlberg’s clout. Nonetheless, we had an utterly fantastic evening celebrating the wonders of Italian wine and food. This year, we chose Caffe Vialetto as our little slice of Italy. Proprietor Marcello Chopa enthusiastically wanted to create a menu to match our wines, and we found some great Italians deep in our cellar to challenge him.
We will start the night with vintage French Champagne (it’s really best) and Chablis (we are light on Italian whites). Then dive into some great Italian reds:
