MYSTERIES OF THE EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN

We return to the birthplace of wine to celebrate the peace and joy that the sharing of fellowship around the table brings to life. The wines for this evening come from Israel, Lebanon and Greece, each with their own traditions of hospitality and their own opinion about who invented Baklava.  Our chef, Eric Peacock, will weave together the favours of the Middle East into a cross-cultural Feast. Join us for a politically impossible, but culturally enriching evening.

No Battles on this Front

Wellington Court Restaurant in downtown St. Catharines was once again the chose venue to showcase Chef Erik Peacock's interpretive skills of defining an international cuisine.  Venturing into a less known wine scene, with a focus on Israeli, along with one each of Lebanese and Greek wines, Chef Erik was at his best, explaining each course and how he felt it should pair well with the chosen wines.  The wines surprised most of the attendees as to how well made they were and how beautifully they paired with the courses.  The commentators on the individual wines each gave us interesting background on the wineries , the appelllations and wines acceptability.
