* Anthony Mueller, Advanced Sommelier, will be our guest speaker, covering topics about wine, Napa Valley, and Francis Ford Coppola’s Inglenook winery. 

 

*Featured Inglenook Wines include:  flagship Bordeaux blend, Rubicon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Blancaneaux (white Rhone-style blend).

 

*Wines paired with Appetizers from Rhythm & Wine.  No one should leave hungry!   

 

1^st Course: Champagne

               Smoked salmon canapes, toasted broche crouton, Greek yogurt cream cheese, fresh dill

 

2^nd Course: Blancaneaux (blend of estate-grown Roussanne, Marsanne and Viognier)

              Fresh backed Chevre goat cheese in phyllo dough, raspberry melba sauce, fresh basil

 

3^rd Course: Syrah

               Smoky BBQ pork slider spicy cole slaw, Ground Chuck Slider, crispy onion strings

 

4^th Course: Cabernet Sauvignon

                Tenderloin of beef stroganoff, crimini mushroom, butter noodles, sour cream demi

 

5^th Course: Rubicon

               Charred Flat-Iron Steak, served medium-rare, over creamy asiago risotto, fresh rosemary

 

6^th Course: Sherry

               Baked Granny Smith Apple cheesecake tart, cinnamon crème

1871:  Inglenook “cozy corner” has first grape vines planted

1891:  Served to President Benjamin Harrison

1915:  Wins 19 Gold Medals at San Francisco’s Panama Pacific International Exposition

1941:  Wine of the Century!   Inglenook Cabernet Sauvignon achieves perfect 100 score in Wine Spectator.

1954: “Pride Not Profit” – advertising slogan.

1964 & 1970:  Sold

1975:  Coppolas purchase 1,560 acres of Inglenook estate including the mansion with profits from The Godfather films

2011: Coppolas acquire the iconic Inglenook trademark & appoint Philippe Bascaules (of Chateaux Margaux) as GM
