One of Vancouver's favourite comfort foods is the dumpling and none are better prepared than those by The Dumpling King, Chef Matthew Murtagh-Wu. Chef Matt prepares different dumplings by hand and delivers his order anywhere in town. The most popular is the JWB Pork Belly and Scallion dumpling. Our members were treated to a demonstration of dumpling making and tastes of four different styles from different regions of China, presented in a kitchen at PICA, the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts. Together with the wines, we paired tastes of Okanagan's 2018 Synchromesh Riesling and 2018 Joie Rosé. Our evening was very casual and relaxed in a convivial setting standing around the kitchen table.
