Bordeaux and beef…a very classic combination.
Members were treated to an evening of fine Bordeaux wines paired with USDA Prime Rib at Wolfgang Restaurant located at the Intercontinental Hotel in Roberston Quay. The evening kicked off with Champagne Pommery NV before Gwendelaine Lucas, General Manager of Chateau la Dominique lead us through of evening of the Chateau’s wines.Located in St. Emilion, the wines have seen a revival thanks to Clement Fayat, the owner.
The new winery was completed in 2013 and the services of Michel Rolland were engaged. The Chateau is located on the border with Pomerol and it’s vineyards are next to those of Cheval Blanc. The Chateau offers a classic blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Wines tasted were:
