On 2nd December, Manchester branch gathered in force with honoured guests Ian Nicol (Chair of EAZ) and Ron Barker (Chair of Wine Committee), dear friends from mid Cheshire and Blackpool, and guests for the traditional pre-Christmas lunch. 20 Stories had generously reserved the entire grill restaurant for us despite this being a busy day for this massively successful new venture.
The lobby at 20 Stories had been turned into a fairytale grotto and we were shown to our lavishly decorated (and heated!) snow dome for our aperitif and canapés. We were then treated to four courses of sheer luxury and generous glasses of paired wines.
We concluded with tea and coffee and were then welcomed to continue our socialising for as long as we wanted to. Indeed, the party did roll on into the early evening as it was such a happy and convivial occasion!
