Chez Bruce was opened in 1995 as a joint venture between Nigel Platts-Martin, arguably the most successful restaurateur in London, and Bruce Poole, then chef at Chez Max. It has since won countless accolades, including a Michelin star, and is consistently among the very top London restaurant choices in consumer surveys.  The restaurant overlooks Wandsworth Common, is informal in style, and the cooking can best be described as modern European/Mediterranean. Although the kitchen is now under the command of Matt Christmas, Bruce is always around and keeps an eye on everything. The wine list is also one of the best in London, both for quality and value.

Although it is hard to believe, we have never held an event at Chez Bruce throughout our Branch’s history. This anomaly is about to be rectified as we have chosen this venue for our summer lunch. Bruce is very excited at the prospect of receiving us and I have no doubt that he will pull out all the stops to ensure we have a memorable afternoon. He is allowing us to bring our own champagne and will then serve us a bespoke seasonal four course menu with matching wines, which is currently at the planning stage.

The restaurant is around the corner from Wandsworth Common station, which is 11 minutes by train from Victoria; there are services about every 5 minutes.
The address is 2, Bellevue Road,, Wandsworth Common, London SW17 7EG

If you would like to attend this event, please email: Mickey Bowden for an Application Form.

As the capacity of the Private Dining Room is limited to 14 guests, we have booked it for both 18th and 23rd July to be on the safe side. However, since the event is being held at a time when many people are usually away, it is not certain that both dates will be needed. For this reason, it is essential to specify in the Application Form whether you can do the alternative date in case your preferred date is not available.
