On a warm and beautiful early fall evening, the Arkansas Branch gathered for an Alsatian-themed evening at the home of Brian and Shelli Henehan. Food and wine were prepared and provided by Bev McClendon and John Trickett.
The Henehans graciously engaged the Don Bailey Jazz Duo to provide a musical backdrop for our event.
Alsace is unique in many ways, not least in the panoply of varietal wines produced there. Our group sampled five wines from different producers over the course of the evening, each paired with dishes inspired by France's most Germanic region.
Several guests (and potential new members) attended and got a great taste--literally--of what IWFS Arkansas is all about: "Wine, Food and Friends" in a relaxed, convivial and educational setting.
