Join us for our 6th annual Wine Cellar Picnic on Saturday, August 11th as our Wine Committee searches the cellar for those odd lots and a few wines that are at their prime and simply must go. All members are asked to bring a dish to share. Heirlooms Catering will be on hand to "fill in the blanks" and take care of the clean up. For more info email Kathy at kathykall@comcast.net.

The Wine & Food Society of Jacksonville, at a recent Board Meeting, decided to award a check in the amount of $500 to a deserving culinary arts student who may be in financial need. Carla Peterson was chosen from a group of students at the Art Institute of Jacksonville, a branch of Miami International University of Art & Design. 

Carla is a hard working noteworthy student who attends classes full time while yet working full time to make ends meet. She is young, energetic and busy pursuing her dream of becoming a chef. Needless to say, she was very appreciative of our gift to her. We wish her the best in her studies.
