It's A Matter of Taste!

Members and guests gathered once again at the home of our friends Roland & Anne Richardson for our annual A Matter of Taste wine tasting event. As founding members of The Wine & Food Society of Jacksonville, they have oft opened up their house to us for dinners and wine tastings. This was the ninth such event. As a fitting honor, Roland and Anne were awarded the BGA Silver Medals for their friendship, leadership and full participation through the years. They have been an inspiration for all our members.
The theme of this event was to explore lesser known varietals and viticultural areas. Thirteen wines were served including a 2002 Sauternes from the cellar of Joe & Diantha Ripley, paired with a most unusual delight - blueberries! Chef Byron Terwillegar of Bllue Water Cafe prepared a bountiful buffet to accompany the wines.
