The Wine & Food Society of Jacksonville opened its 2019-2020 season with a black tie dinner at the fabulous River Club in downtown Jacksonville. Always a favorite, The River Club boasts the best view of downtown and the St. Johns River. Dinner and wine chairs, Alan & Joan Harmon and Jeanne Maron & Howard Caplan invited all on a tour of the Loire Valley and the Atlantic Coastal regions of Bordeaux, Brittany and Normandy celebrating the foods and wines of these unique regions. While all wines were wonderful in their own right, the clear star of the evening was the Ch. Lafon-Rochet Saint-Estephe Grand Cru Bordeaux.
