The Burgundy Master Class was an educational event hosted by members Miles and Mayra Hendrickson, owners of the Blind Fox Private Cocktail Bar and Sudsy Torbeck the IW&FS Lake Tahoe Branch Wine Director & Chair of the Wine Committee.  Sudsy Torbeck went above and beyond sharing her knowledge and presenting incredible Burgundy Wines. For many members this was their first experience at the Blind Fox Private Cocktail Bar and found the roaring 20's setting to be the perfect venue for such an event. A Grand Greek Dinner & Great Greek Wines was our event to take place in September. When the Davis Fire started our good friend's home who was hosting the event found themselves  in the path of the fire and our event was canceled. Tom  Turner, owner of Gar Woods was able to step up and accommodate us for our event in short notice. So we changed the name to Gar Woods Restaurant to the Rescue,  had a silent auction to raise money to help those in need and hosted another great Tahoe lakefront Dinner. Happy to report that those first responders saved the homes of the community and our wonderful friends.
