The Washington DC Chapter conducts ten dinner events annually. Dinner Chairpersons are selected by the President and rotate through the entire membership. Dinner events take place throughout the DC, Maryland and Virginia area at  restaurants, dining clubs and country club facilities. The food is accompanied by wines selected by the five member wine committee with more than half the wines coming from our extensive cellar facility that has been in existence since the 1950s. Some examples of recurring dinner themes include: Great Wines Dinner, Wine Education Dinner, and Seafood Feast.

Dinner Chairman Chase Moore welcomes the members to spring at the Water and Wall restaurant. After a long winter the April supper was a marvelous transition to a menu befitting the seasonal change at this relatively new restaurant that is a place to watch. Ever seeking extraordinary food experiences and who may be DC’s next big chef, the chairman assures us that Chef Tim Ma has the chops and is one to watch. Chef Ma brings a level of care to Water & Wall, his second restaurant, while upping the ante by drawing upon his cultural heritage and formal training at the French Culinary Institute. In an earlier life Chef Ma was a practicing engineer and that attention to structure and balance is evident in his dishes. And while diners will no doubt enjoy the clever adaptations to dishes, a reverence to classic French technique ensures Chef Ma’s longevity. More can be explored at www.WaterandWall.com.
