Overview
IWFS BEIJING CITY (CHINA)
IWFS Beijing City was formed on October 20 2012, the same date as the Society was formed in London in 1933 almost 80 years earlier. To celebrate their foundation, Beijing City branch members held a very special opening dinner at Maison Boulud, located in a majestic manor house (formerly the US Embassy) adjacent to Tiananmen Square. To mark the event, the wine list included some fabulous bottles - including tete de cuvee Champagne, first growth Bordeaux, grand cru Burgundy, Barolo and some wonderful examples from Australia.
The branch includes some very serious wine and food enthusiasts who are clearly passionate about pushing the boundaries on their wine and food experiences. They meet 4 to 6 times a year and also enjoy attending the various festivals offered by IWFS in the Asia Pacific Zone.
