“A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Tamna”

I would like to share of our branch's third event of 2024, titled “A Midsummer Night’s Dream in Tamna,” which was held over the weekend of August 3rd and 4th in Jeju Island.

This event featured a variety of programs, supported by our members who are active in various fields.

First, we had the privilege of attending the opera “La Bohème,” thanks to the sponsorship of our member who is the artistic director of the Seogwipo Opera Festival.

After the opera, we hosted a wine dinner at the Seaes Hotel in Jeju, a luxury resort with a beautiful village that was modeled after traditional Korean local houses, especially those from Jeju Island, themed around wines from the southern part of France, particularly Provence, to align with the event's purpose, being held on the southernmost island of Korea.

Following the wine dinner, we enjoyed the night in Jeju by having a delightful time with members at a nearby beach bar, Nuba Beach, while sipping wine.

The next day, we had lunch at a recommended local restaurant, where we enjoyed fish side dishes, and visited Del Mundo, a representative ocean-view café in Jeju operated by one of our members. At the café, located in front of the beautiful Hamdeok Beach, we savored refreshing cocktails while enjoying the southern seaside. To experience another aspect of Jeju's scenery, we headed to Gimnyeong. At the Del Mundo Gimnyeong branch, situated in front of a beach that offers a different view from Hamdeok Beach, we had a great time flying drones and sipping cool citrus drinks with our members.

Although this event held in Jeju during the summer vacation season has come to a close, the joyful memories of this exceptionally hot summer will remain in the hearts of our members.
