Overview
IWFS TOKYO BAY (Japan) (Formerly IWFS Yokohama)
The Tokyo Bay Branch of the International Wine and Food Society was founded on 26 July 2001. It was first known as IWFS Yokohama, but changed its name to IWFS Tokyo Bay on February 4 2013.
Our focus is on family and acquaintance friendly events. These range from dinner functions with wine distributors, visiting wine makers, or just trying new restaurants - through to seasonal events such as a Japanese style summer cruise, an autumn countryside barbecue, and more.
We hold, on average, 5-6 events a year and hope to increase this in the future. Depending upon the event, total attendees (including guests) have ranged between 10 and 70.
Members also have the opportunity to participate in the various Regional Festivals held by the Society within the Asia Pacific Zone, as well as International Festivals held around the world.
We welcome visitors from other countries with an interest in wine and food who travel to Japan to consider joining us at our functions. We also welcome people who are interested in joining our branch to contact us.
