IWFS Tokyo held a very special event in June at the Japanese-owned Napa Valley winery Kenzo Estate restaurant in the Hiroo district.

As IWFS member, Jean-Francois Minier explains, this was the first time ever that curry rice was served with wine at the IW&FS Tokyo Branch. Curry rice is a popular Japanese casual dish which boomed during the Meiji era after the Royal Navy introduced curry powder to the Imperial Navy it was training.
