Theme André Simon Black Tie Dinner
Venue Woodlands House, Prahran
Location 78 Williams Road, Prahran
Date Aug 26, 2014
Time 19:00

IWFS Victoria's annual black tie André Simon dinner was held at WoodLand House (78 Williams Road, Prahran) on Tuesday, August 26.

The venue for this event - which played host to Jacques Reymond for 25 years - was a fitting location not only for our signature function for the year, but also for the stunning cooking of Thomas Woods and Hayden McFarland, who stepped from behind the apron of their great mentor 6 months ago, and are now firmly settled into the task of turning out exceptionally sophisticated, produce-driven food, which turns the dial back towards Europe, while retaining some of the Asian-inspired touches that brought so much complexity to the cooking of their old boss.

Function organisers Charles Harper, Yvonne Wallis and Andrew Navakas are concocting a fittingly exciting line-up of wines to match the WoodLand House food.  This event also marks the final function of Presendent, Charles Harper's two year Presidential term.
