August Events

August 07, 2018
Theme IWFS Victoria Andre Simon Black Tie Dinner
Venue The Stokehouse
Location 30 Jacka Blvd, St Kilda
Date Aug 07, 2018
Time 19:00pm

Dear Members of IWFS Victoria,

August brings again our most eagerly awaited function of the year, the André Simon Dinner, celebrating our founder, the anniversary of our Branch and importantly the 85th anniversary of our Society. For these occasions we work hard to marry the best dining experiences the city of Melbourne has to offer with the best wines from our branch cellar.

This year is without exception, and it’s with great excitement that we invite you to join us at the new Stokehouse. For our black tie gala we will be pairing its relaxed beachside glamour with the promise of exceptional wine, food and service – every bit in the spirit of the André Simon.   See the detailed invitation attached.

For our event, organisers Graeme Edwards and Tim Probert have secured exclusive use of the Palm Room. The Palm Room can hold just 40 guests. This means places are limited for this very special event, so please do book early. As it’s our André Simon dinner it’s your chance to don black tie and soak up the atmosphere. We hope that you can join us as we expect the night together with the food and wine to follow in the tradition of our great ‘Seven’ dinners and be a fitting celebration for our Society’s 85th birthday.
