Perth Arena Spectacular

Isn’t it funny; before it even was completed, the new “Perth Arena” multipurpose entertainment venue was already proclaimed by the people of Perth to be “the ugliest building in Perth”; and now, after its completion, the raving reviews do not stop!

As such, for our last function, it was indeed a rare privilege to be invited for a personally conducted tour of this brand new facility. It was very impressive and almost unbelievable to see for how many different types of events the architects and designers had to juggle their designs to comply with all relevant requirements. They seem, however, to have been able to undertake this task not only brilliantly, but at the same time they managed to create a real new landmark for Perth.

The dinner was started with a whole selection of sushi which we enjoyed in the foyer, accompanied by a specially created cocktail.  The group then relocated to the impressive and spanking clean main kitchen where we watched the chefs prepare, and then tasted a range of freshly prepared  and very creative appetizers.  The highlights of the dinner, the impressive main course and the superbly presented desserts were then served at one of the functions rooms; all in all a very memorable evening.  A huge thank-you and sincere congratulations must go to Michael Scott, IWFS WA’s Vice President and Catering Manager of the Perth Arena, and his team.
