Our annual Winemaker’s Dinner is on and once again we are delighted to have Pierre of Chez Pierre hosting us and we are proud to feature Fraser Gallop Estate Winery.
Their wines are produced from grapes picked from the single estate winery. They express the true terra terrior of Wilyabrup Juices from the grapes are wild-fermented and the wines made gently with a hands-off, minimal intervention approach.
Established in 1999, the 50-acre block of Fraser Gallop Estate is at the heart of Margaret River’s Wilyabrup valley (20km) north of the town of Margaret River. The Estate enjoys splendid isolation and a moderate maritime climate’
Owner Nigel Gallop who will be present, comes with an eclectic background with a career framing IT design and implementation of gaming systems. This led him in to want to be his own boss and follow a passion. Hence establishing Fraser Gallop Estate.
The wines are shaped and tended by Chief Winemaker Clive Otto. Otto is a Roseworthy graduate and honed his skills at Vasse Felix. In 2005 he was the Winestate Magazine's Australian Winemaker of the Year and in 2009 he won the Decanter World Wine Awards Trophy for the best Cabernet Sauvignon in the world for the 2007 vintage – his first wine he produced at Fraser Gallop Estate.
