London Branch has awarded an IWFS Excellence Award to Sam's Riverside Restaurant at Hammersmith.  This was presented after a supberb lunch served to us by Sam and his team on 25th May 2023.

Exmouth Market has more than its fair share of critically-acclaimed restaurants, with the Ambassador Café among them. Recommended by the Good Food Guide the restaurant is decked out with white globe lights and Formica tables and at first glance looks unremarkable. All the detail has cleverly gone into the terrific modern and eclectic European menu.

The evening will commence at 6.30pm with a champagne reception in the Salon followed by a splendid four course dinner in the Egyptian Hall. There will be white and red wines with the meal followed by port or brandy and coffee or tea with petit fours. The evening should finish around 10.30pm.

A while back L’Autre Pied stepped in at short notice when another restaurant failed to deliver. Chef Marcus Eaves and the staff worked wonders at this Michelin starred restaurant and we were treated so well that everyone agreed we had such an excellent evening, it merited an award.
London Branch therefore requested and received the Societies’ Restaurant award for L’Autre Pied and we have arranged both to present the Award and celebrate it with another special evening in the Societies’ best traditions of the very best wine and food.
