London Branch has awarded an IWFS Excellence Award to Sam's Riverside Restaurant at Hammersmith. This was presented after a supberb lunch served to us by Sam and his team on 25th May 2023.

The London Branch, in conjunction with the California Marin County Branch, Haskell Norman Chapter, is honoured to to present you with a splendid and important wine event:
Jack Rubyn, Chairman of the Marin County Branch, has managed to persuade his good friend, and Marin County IWFS member, Ron Fenolio, owner of Veedercrest Wines, to come to London and show his world class wines.
Veedercrest wines were participants in the infamous ‘Judgement of Paris’ in 1976 when Californian wines were tasted by noted French wine judges against the best from Bordeaux.
The American wines swept the board in the competition, and indeed again at a second more recent event.
Veedercrest have maintained their foremost standing and award winning status and we are very pleased to show these wines.
We are also very fortunate indeed that Mathieu Germond, of the Pied group of Michelin starred restaurants has succumbed to Andrew Brodie’s pleadings and agreed to open L ‘Autre Pied exclusively for us, and Chef Andy McFadden has composed a menu specially to complement the wines being shown. This will really be a very special event, and Jack will be bringing in a few Italian specialities from his annual IWFS Marin tour of Alba, Italy. Jack is looking forward to joining us once again in London. Do join us!
