GuildSomm International – discounted membership

We’re very excited to announce our new partnership with GuildSomm International (GSI), a leading provider of wine, spirits and beverage education. GSI is a not-for-profit membership organisation with a mission to create and deliver the most accurate, comprehensive and accessible beverage-related content in support of the global wine and spirits community. You don’t have to be a professional employed in the industry, membership is also aimed at the enthusiastic wine consumer.

Over 9,000 members worldwide connect through a range of content and community forums on GuildSomm.com and through classes and events. GSI’s content is beneficial to those working across varied roles in the hospitality industry, for anyone pursuing professional certification, and for aficionados, enthusiasts, and collectors.

Here’s what one IWFS member, Mark Burnett (from the Arkansas branch and Certified Sommelier) says: "I’ve been a member of GuildSomm for years, and it has been an invaluable resource for me – it is a treasure trove of up-to-date wine information. I’m delighted to hear of the relationship with IWFS."

GSI provides a wealth of information that is best appreciated by spending time on their website GuildSomm.com. While there is a lot of attractive content available for free, paid membership unlocks additional detailed resources. Jenny Hemmer, Executive Director of GSI, has recorded a special introduction for IWFS, to help our members appreciate what comes with paid membership -- Inside GuildSomm Membership IWFS members can join for $100 per year - a discount of $20 off the regular annual membership price of $120. To sign up at this discounted price, simply click on GuildSomm Membership and enter the discount code IWFS20 at checkout. We encourage you to go online and explore. We think you’ll find lots to interest you!

We know there are other IWFS members who, like Mark, are already involved with GSI. If that’s you, please let us know, via sec@iwfs.org, so we can provide an additional savings to your current membership.

(Thank you to Neal Vitale and the Americas team for this introduction.)

Great to see…..  It has been a pleasure to welcome IWFS members to the In & Out Club in recent months.  The three visits have been from members of the Americas on separate occasions.  In the Summer Ben Matheson (Fort Worth) came to visit and we enjoyed a glass of champagne in the sunshine, in the Autumn Charity & Justin Hattenhauer (Arkansas) made a brief visit while on their way to a Jose Carreras concert in Croatia and in November it was lovely to meet, on a return stay at the Club, Linda Stevens and John Moses (Independent) who had cruised, literally, in and out of London and were thoroughly enjoying their stay and the leisurely pace of travel while on holiday from Canada.
