Bouchard Pere et Fils are large landowners and producers in Burgundy with a long story, running both a Domaine and Maison (i.e. negociant) business. They have been on the up and up since being taken over by Henriot Champagne in 1995. The IWFS bought a mixed case of 12 red and 12 white from the 2008 and 2009 vintages on release. These were excellent vintages and we have a mixture of premier and grand crus including Corton Charlemagne, Chevalier Montrachet, Le Montrachet and Batard Montrachet (white) and Le Corton, Bonnes Mares, Clos de Beze, Clos Vougeot and Echezeaux (reds). We are now pleased to offer a tasting of 3 whites and 3 reds to include at least one grand cru of each and some very good premier crus as well.
The tasting events will be over two evenings on September 5 and September 12 at Le Petit Bistro in West Bay and will cost CI$125 per person. Places are strictly limited to 16 people on each night. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP by Friday, 18 August (events@iwfs.ky) and confirm if you are able to attend on 5 September or 12 September or either date. We will confirm the allocation of the places on Monday, 21 August and any cancellations must be made by close of business on Monday 28 August, after which payment will be required. In the interest of fairness, allocations will be prioritized on a first come, first served basis. We will waitlist those who cannot be fitted into the initial two dates and will run the event again on a third date if there is enough demand.
