MONTEREY PENINSULA
CASA ABREGO ADOBE - 269th Event
It was a beautiful spring evening to enjoy our Champagne Reception set in the flower garden of the historic Casa Abrego Club adobe, which was built in 1834 by Don Jose Abrego. It is now a private ladies club, which was acquired in 1956 by a group of civic-minded women who came together to preserve this venerable adobe.
Dennis and Marie Riley hosted the delightful event which was well attended by our members and guests. The table tops were skirted in navy-blue and the flowers were peonies, ranunculus, and gerbera, all in varies shades of magenta surrounded by gold toned votives which added to the beauty of the old adobe.
Executive Chef Mario Perez along with Branch sommelier, Peter Tansill put together an outstanding menu that led to a memorable evening. Chef Perez was presented an IW&FS Certificate of Appreciation to the applause of the appreciated members and guests.
