The Beijing City Branch took full advantage of hairy crab season this year, holding a dinner in early November at the impressive LAN Club to focus on these wonderful culinary delights. An outstanding international selection of wines accompanied the meal, from a German Riesling Spatlese to an Italian Bianco to the Northern Rhone (Cornas and Cote-Rotie) to Spanish Sherry to the Norwegian Linie Acquavit, and not forgetting a local Chinese wine. It was a great evening – only the second dinner for this branch. No time has been wasted in exploring some exceptional wine and food matches! A great evening.
