2023 Sydney Festival – 18-22 October

As the world reopens fully post Covid-19, the Area Committee of the APZ invites you to visit Sydney, Australia for an extravaganza where you will enjoy a wide variety of Australian wines from various regions in one of the greatest cities in the world. Sydney has risen like a phoenix after the lockdowns and many of its exceptional venues have now fully re-opened. Spring is also a lovely time to visit. We will showcase our magnificent harbour, The Sydney Opera House celebrating 50 years since opening and the Sydney Harbour Bridge celebrating its 90th birthday. You will also dine with us as the Society itself turns 90, having been founded in October 1933.

The Festival offers four dinners in venues ranging from private clubs to exquisite harbourside restaurants and three lunches. It includes wine tastings in heritage landmarks and on the harbour together with a tour of Sydney’s famed Art Gallery of New South Wales with its recently opened modern extension. Dress will be smart casual throughout with the exception of two black tie dinners. Early registration and payment is recommended as the Festival will be limited to 60 attendees. You will be taken through the best of Australian wines from Western Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and New South Wales in the company of guest wine makers led by Australian Master of Wine, Annette Lacey MW.
