Autumn 2024 Branch Dinner
Chardonnay & Pinot Noir: Burgundy & Beyond
Three course dinner with wine pairing
Join us for the first event of our exciting programme for 2024 – an exploration of the regional expressions of two well-known grapes: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Here’s what to expect:
About the Restaurant
Established in 2015, The Herring Room is family owned & run by local veterans of the industry, with an emphasis on good old-fashioned hospitality at its core. The Herring Room’s contemporary menu is inspired by flavours & dishes from all around the world. The menu proudly lists the provenance of all its produce, selecting only the highest quality of seasonal produce from local, sustainable & environmentally sensitive fisheries & farms. The Herring Room is the sister restaurant to the hugely successful, The Sardine Room in Challis Avenue, Potts Point (Est. 2007 to 2016) when it relocated to Sydney’s beautiful Northern Beaches.
The restaurant is currently preparing a 3-course menu for us, with options which can be selected on the night. The menu will have a strong seafood-theme; however, will also cater for non-seafood eaters and vegetarians. The final menu options will be shared with those attending in advance of the event, however if you have any dietary requirements, please include these along with your booking form.
You can read more on their website here: https://theherringroom.com.au/
About the Wines
The identity of the wines will be revealed on the night; however we will be tasting through three examples of each grape: one grown in its spiritual home of Burgundy, one Australian, and one from another region in the world putting its own twist on the variety. We will also conclude the evening with a dessert wine along the same theme.
