In all, 8 whiskies were tasted – Deanston, Bowmore, Springbank, Auchentoshan, Longrow, Tobemory, Smokehead and Bunnahabhain.
To complement the whiskies, four types of nuts (almond, cashew, macadamia and pistachio) were offered together with grilled sausages, smoked New Zealand salmon, Spanish Iberico ham, fried chicken wings and dark Valhona chocolates.
All this proved more than the fact that single malt and whiskies is an art; it also showed that whiskies can pair well with various dishes too!
