The Tanglin Branch of IWFS welcomed Dr and Mrs David Kamin, from the IWFS Los Angeles, who were visiting Singapore for the first time. Twenty members and guests gathered at the Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck Restaurant at the Paragon Shopping Centre to share with them Chinese delicacies and the famous Peking Duck. The meal was paired with Bordeaux wines from vintages 2001 and 2004.
We launched the evening with Laurent Perrier 2002 served as our aperitif. This was followed by a magnum of Domaine Weinbach, Riesling Schlossberg, Cuvée St. Catherine, Alsace, Grand Cru 1999, which was generously donated by our President for toasting, with the traditional Yu Sheng. Included in the menu were, lobster, the famous Peking Duck and claypot rice. The taste of the food was enhanced with Les Plantiersdu Haut Brion 2007, Haut Bailly 2001, Pontet-Canet 2001, Pichon Lalande 2004, and Troplong-Mondot 2004.
