85th Anniversary at Northcote

IWFS Europe Africa - 85th Anniversary Dinner,
Wed 14th November 2018 at Northcote, Lancashire

Michelin starred Northcote will be one venue for an 85th Anniversary Dinner where Lisa Goodwin-Allen  – of The Great British Menu fame - will prepare, and talk through, a dinner based on the original Society Alsace Luncheon in 1933 hosted by Andre Simon, but with a modern twist. Matched Alsace wines chosen by Nothcote’s MD, Craig Bancroft and Ron Barker will accompany the meal, and David Ling from the Confrerie Saint Etienne d’Alsace (the Society’s Alsace Consultant) will talk to the wines along with Northcote Sommelier Tamas Czinki.

The evening will start with a Sparkling Wine and Canape reception at 7 pm followed by Dinner at 7.30pm in the Louis Roederer Room at Northcote. Main features of the menu will be

The charge for the meal will be £140, including reception, all wines, water and service.


The invitation is open to all members of the Society and their guests, but will particularly suit members from the North of England. Dress code will be Black Tie with Medals, or lounge suit.
